Visit and historical insights about telescopes of the Observatory of Asiago Cima Ekar
Friday, july 27, 2018, at 14.30 hours, an interesting guided tour organised by theAsiago Astrophysical Observatory will lead you to the discovery of Copernicus and Schmidt telescopes of Cima Ekar (a 15 minutes drive from the Centre of Asiago).
This is a very interesting visit, which will allow children and adults to learn about two of the most powerful tools of Italy: the Copernicus is in fact the largest optical telescope on the national soil.
In addition, the visit will be enriched with a feature article on the history of the two telescopes, by the astronomer and historian of science Matthew Rabbetts of Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam.
