A major new event for MTB: the Marathon of Highland

Marathon Sunday, September 29-Highland Dairies will star in Vicenza, Italy: the Asiago plateau.

The 2019 has added a major new event included in the calendar of the national MTB Marathon of Highland-Dairies in Vicenza, Italy, Sunday 29 September will star theAsiago plateau.

At a time not easy for national MTB, where several demonstrations have had a drop of participants, it might seem a chance to propose a new event. But not about gambling, having regard to the great organizational experience of the Committee to Curtain Experience that, with great maturity, pour years of militancy on race and collaborations in various organizations, culminating with Cortina Trophy, in this new important event.

Gallium, Highland mountain

Will Gallio (VI), the highest village of the plateau at an altitude of 1,100 m above sea level, the logistics centre of the Highland Marathon-Dairies in Vicenza, Italy, a country among the most noble of the ancient community of altopiano di Asiago, a country to be discovered with his immense amount of history. Landscapes that are an authentic mosaic of Woods, meadows and mountains, a kaleidoscope of colors, flora and fauna, evolving ecosystems and invite to enter on tiptoe, respectful of a heritage that belongs not only to the local community, but that is of all.

There are two proposed routes, the Marathon of 73 km with 2,380 m of elevation gain, and the Classic, 45 km and 1,410 m elevation gain. Both locations have been studied and developed in collaboration with Walter Costa, DOC asiaghese, profound knowledge of the territory and a great expert in mountain biking.

The event, already by midweek, will be full of events, days entirely dedicated to sports and outdoor fun, that will be the backdrop to the main event, the Marathon of Highland-Vicenza Dairies of 29 September 2019.
