A volunteer group supporting the plant engineers of the Asiago plateau

"Skiing: for winter tourism is essential." And so was born a volunteer group to create a movement in support of plant engineers and administrations.

Better late than never! An exclamation that comes naturally thinking of the volunteer group that is taking shape in the plateau with the intention of recognizing the indispensable role of ski resorts to the Highland economy, together with the intention of disseminating a culture of support for installers and administrations.

"If we want to be a destination for winter tourism cannot do without the skis. If there is no snow, we must be able to produce it: it takes water and snow-making equipment . We cannot, however, think that they are owners of entrepreneurs to assume total: it doesn't work that way in any other winter touristfrom nearby ski Tan up to other ski resorts in Italy: it is unthinkable that the high operating and maintenance costs and business risk relating to works only on the owners, when the economic burden are for everyone ".

Are they reflections from time and again becoming subject of arguments in the current season, which put once again highlight the structural shortage of our winter tourist offer. Reasoning that, parties from the usual chat between friends skiers, were extended by involving ski schools, representatives of professional associations and some mayors, to give life to what is meant to be a sort of Working Group, whose goal is to build on a movement of opinion in support of entrepreneurs and Governments.

Basically, taking knowledge from the fact that after thepublic meeting of September 2014 at Millepini concerning in particular the future of Melette from "low" not moved anyone, comes a sort of "mea culpa". It is admitted that simply were waiting that administrators were continuing in their challenging to find a solution, then informing the population. Now you recognize this as a wrong attitude: tour operators or ordinary citizens were supposed to monitor, encourage, inform, and especially realize that skiing in general should be supported by everyone because, in economic terms, everybody can benefit.

The promoters of this volunteer group is not intended to refer only to Melette, but want to try to support all ski "because, they say, give the possibility to ski must be a guarantee from which we cannot ignore. Fit the walks, the snowshoe, the bikes, but they are ingredients which can act as a complement to what is most essential for the mountains in winter: skiing! "

The purpose of this movement, clarify, not create rifts or create controversy, in fact, means finding a solution starting from the awareness that without ski, winter, suffering not just the lift operators, their employees, instructors, the hotels, but directly or indirectly all, emphasizing that "the losses, in terms of attractiveness fall on the territory in General: in addition to the loss of income in various sectors, also occurs on depletion real estate".

Together, therefore, all the actors of the territory are invited to recognize the hard work and sacrifices of entrepreneurs own installations and to initiate an effective collaboration for the creation of conditions for the opening of ski resorts even in adverse climatic situations.
