Gianluigi Zeni's "Les r'ves et le cloche" wins the Technical and Popular Jury award

Yesterday, 27 August 2019, the awards were held for the 37th International Wood Sculpture Competition "City of Asiago". Here are the winners:
TECHNICAL JURY AWARD
The Technical Jury recognizes the winner of the 37th International Competition of Wood Sculptures City of Asiago the work "Les r'ves et le cloche" by the sculptor Gianluigi Zeni for his work rendered between sign, shape and color.
For his refined artistic poetry, the skills of an artist as complete as the deep sensitivity of soul reflected in his sculptural work are appreciated and recognized. His art is an expression of freedom and he has developed his own artistic language linked to the interiority of feelings. A creative form of targeted and delicate aesthetic expression that reflects an knowledge of natural and artistic beauty, or the judgment of taste. It rests on technical tricks, innate skills and behavioral norms derived from the study and knowledge of the history of art, as well as from the artist's experience and his ability to understand and observe the type of material to be shaped. It is feeling and perception mediated by reason that goes to reflect on classical canons coded over time.
The technical jury also wishes to congratulate all participants on thehigh quality of the works made and the professionalism shown.
SPECIAL PREMIO "JOE FROM AVE"
With a total of 51 preferences, he won the special prize named after Joe Dalle Ave the work "Lesr'ves and the cloche " by the sculptor Gianluigi Zeni. Out of a total of 299 votes cast.
PRIZE "WE VALUE OUR WOOD"
The award for best sprucesculpture, this year's award to restore value to our wood crashed by Cyclone "Vaia" and offered by the b&B company Artisan goes to the work of Pier Romano Selvestrel for that sense of wonder and amazement, of deep beauty and great creativity that expresses without retoritic emphasis an expressive language full of vitality and energy.
