Work has already begun, and will be completed in about a year, at the comprehensive institute Monte Ortigara,in Via Bertacchi in Asiago.
The students of the primary school of first grade, in fact, are housed in a building of more than 40 years that, given the age, needed important structural reforms. Interventions that, despite careful planning, are creating inevitable inconvenience to students and their families.
But the goal must not be lost: a safer, more functional and accessible institution for all.
"Thanksto an investment of 550 thousand euros, we have started a whole series of works in primary schools," explains Franco Sella,Councillor for Public Works of the City of Asiago. Obviously the logic used in the programming of the same also takes into account the weather conditions: so far the company is taking care of the external sidewalks and, weather permitting, will continue for another couple of weeks. In case of rain, snow or too cold temperatures, you will move to the gym accommodation starting from the changing rooms that will be completely redone and made accessible even to wheelchairs and wheelchairs; Always in this regard will be placed a servoscale to access the gym. The heating aerothermal systems, which are currently not working, will be replaced and new lights will be placed instead of the old neon. At the same time, theelectrical systemwill be working.
With the arrival of spring, the external work on the sidewalks will be completed and the staircase leading to the parking lot, the fences and the new courtyard space that will rise above the gym will be completed.
Starting in early May, always weather permitting, the old sheath on the roof will be replaced in order to solve the problem of infiltration. We will finally wait for the schools toclose, i.e. when teachers, staff and pupils are no longer on site, for the refurbishment of the library and for the replacement of lights in the classrooms. At the same time, the work of the teleheating in Bertacchi Street and in the nearby Via Battaglione Vicenza and via Battalion Seven Municipalities - closes Sella -should also begin. All this has been designed to create as little inconvenience as possible for pupils, teachers, families and citizens. The aim is to achieve a better school:safer and more functional. But to do so it is necessary to endure the hardships that, although reduced to the minimum, will be there for about a year. The asphalt will be carried out at the end of all works."
