Shooting from the top of Mount Ortigara and its Mozza Column
This video,made by drone by Christian Martello on September 5, 2019, takes us on an exciting journey between Nature and History,discovering Mount Ortigara.
Symbol of the violence of the Great War,theOrtigara is also known as "Alpine Calvary", a name that took place following the bloody battle fought between 10 and 29 June 1917, in which more than 20,000 Italian soldiers.
The filming of the video spans the top of the mountain,passing first through the bell of the Fallen,lingering on the Mozza Column and then arriving at the Austrian Cippo.
Looking at these images, it is impossible not to be impressed by the beauty of the place, characterized by dolines and lunar landscapes,due to the phenomenon of karstism.
A truly evocative scenario, on which silently watches over the column mozza dedicated to the Fallen and where you can hear echo the echo of the three words engraved on it: FOR NOT FORGET.
