Itineraries for excursions
Video Sentiero della Pace di Winner Paganin

Winner Paganin walked the highland stretch of the Path of Peace in one day, visiting some of the most important places of the Great War

The Path of Peace is a hiking route of about 520 km,which connects the Stelvio to the Marmolada, uniting in a single large route those places that over a century ago were the scene of violent clashes on the Italo-Austrian front.

It was built in the mid-80s starting from an idea of Walther Schaumann and is divided into 8 large areas:

  • 1st section: Passo del Tonale – Cima Presanella
  • 2nd section: Adamello – Val Rendena - Val Giudicarie and Val di Concei
  • 3rd section: Valle di Ledro – Alto Garda
  • 4th section: Rovereto and Vallagarina
  • 5th section: Folgaria Plateau and Lavarone Plateau
  • 6th section: Plateau of the Seven Municipalities
  • 7th section: Valsugana - Lagorai
  • 8th section: Valle di Fiemme and Val di Fassa

In particular, the Path of Peace on the Asiago Plateau,is divided into two different routes:
- one descends from the slopes of the Costesin and Basson mountains, passes through the Camporosà, Posellaro and Casara Trugole huts and has its arrival point at the Campolongo fort
- The other starts from the top of Vezzena and arrives at the Military Shrine of Asiago, passing through the Ortigara, Mount Zebio and the Interrupted Fort.

Km 88 sentiero della Pace ad AsiagoThis video tells the exciting experience of the highland Winner Paganin, who in October 2020 traveled in a single day the highland stretch of the Path of Peace, starting and returning from the Shrine of Asiago.
An experience certainly tiring, but truly unique and evocative:from dawn to dusk, Winner walked the path and visited some of the most important places of the first world clash on the Plateau,"remembering the war and thinking about how beautiful it is to be able to live Peace!"
