Enchanting real-time view of Piazza Italia di Gallio, one of the most well-known and rich tourist attractions of the Plateau of the Seven Municipalities , located 4 km north-east of Asiago, among green and wide pastures and lush woods.

Piazza Italia is the heart of the town, where the parish church stands, built around 1162, destroyed during the Great War (only its majestic façade remained) and rebuilt around 1922.
The church of Gallio is dedicated to St. Bartholomew, patron saint of leather tanners, an activity practiced by the inhabitants of Gallio since the Middle Ages, thanks to the presence of water springs in the nearby Covola Valley (also known as the Valley of the Mills due to the presence of ancient factories).
Every year, the Patron Saint is celebrated on August 24th with a large fair-market, which animates the streets of the town with stalls of all kinds.

The church of San Bartolomeo and the Piazza di Gallio are also the protagonists of another important event of the Gallic tradition: the "Tiro dei ovi", a nice competition of throwing hard-boiled eggs, from the church to the square, which traditionally takes place on Easter Monday.

But it is at Christmas that Piazza Italia gives its best, transforming itself into a small enchanted kingdom, during the characteristic Christmas markets: in the typical wooden houses, you can taste the typical products of the area, buy numerous gift items and discover the local handicrafts, sipping a glass of hot chocolate or mulled wine.
The friendly reindeer of the Santa Claus Village, set up in the nearby Piazzetta Giardini, make the atmosphere even more magical.
