META: the woods and pastures of Asiago - Plateau of the Seven Municipalities (VI)

During this excursion we stop to observe and listen to the animals that surround us to experience a morning of complete immersion in Nature.

Step by step, sharpening our eyes, we discover the preyed anthills, footprints and tracks of those who go slowly and those who are in a hurry, feathers and feathers of migratory birds, leftovers of food such as gnawed pine cones and well-cleaned bones... So many signs of presence that animals leave every day, even in winter, and that tell us about their many daily activities and extraordinary stories of survival in a changing world.

Local nature guides and experts in these mountains will lead you to discover wild nature by telling you many curiosities about its inhabitants and teaching you how to interpret the signs of their presence to find out who could be next to us even when we think we are alone in the woods!

Reservations are required.

📈DIFFICULTY:  we assign a difficulty 2 on a scale from 1 (very easy) to 5 (challenging). The route does not present any particular technical difficulties. The uphill elevation gain is less than 250 m, there are no exposed sections.

The route may be subject to variations due to the presence - absence of ice / snow but the difficulty will remain unchanged.

🎒TO BRING ALONG: waterproof mountain boots (No Moon Boot), layered clothing suitable for the mountain climate, waterproof jacket, backpack with water for the duration of the excursion or hot tea, a small snack such as dried fruit, hat, gloves, sunglasses.

🫰COST: €20 for the guided snowshoe hike per person, €10 for children under 15 and season ticket holders. 

Snowshoes and poles rental: €10 per person. 

Participants will be offered a taste of local products. 

In the event that there is not enough snow, we will proceed on foot without the aid of snowshoes, there will be no price changes (rental excluded).

Precise information on the meeting place with georeferenced position will be sent to those booked the day before the event. We start on foot from the meeting point.
