On Friday 27 December , the Biosphaera Guides organize a panoramic snowshoe hike to Cima Ekar (1363 m).
Starting from the locality of Turcio, where you can leave your car, you take a forest road that climbs towards the top of the mountain, through woods and snow-covered meadows.
Once at the top, you can admire the Astronomical Observatory located there, before walking along a part of the path dedicated to the master Patrizio Rigoni, along which there are some sculptures and wooden works.
The final destination of the excursion, however, is the giant bench of Asiago, from which you can enjoy the view of the basin and the surrounding peaks, such as Verena, Portule and Ortigara, before descending another path to the starting point.
The excursion will be led by Luca Grotto, Environmental Hiking Guide and historian.
In case of no snow, the excursion will still take place, without the use of snowshoes.
MEETING POINT AND TIME
The meeting is scheduled for 9.00 am at the parking lot in Turcio, in Asiago (VI).
