The Aperitif with the Author by Brazzale review continues with a highly anticipated appointment: Monday 4 August 2025, at 5:30 pm, Beppe Severgnini - columnist, writer, historical signature of Italian journalism - will be in Asiago sul to present his latest book "Socrates, Agata and the future - The art of aging with philosophy", published by Rizzoli.
With his usual ironic lucidity and an always brilliant style, Severgnini tackles a theme that is as universal as it is often avoided: aging. But it does so in a way that is anything but gloomy. On the contrary, hers is an invitation to recognize maturity as a precious time, to be worn with elegance, irony and kindness.

In the book, the author reflects on how to learn to slow down, to listen, to give up the sterile pursuit of social offices and gratifications, to rediscover instead the taste for the passing of time, transforming memory into a resource and failure into a lesson. In these pages, Severgnini tells that old age is not only loss, but also new curiosity and a sharp gaze.
A meeting not to be missed for those who seek in writing not only answers, but also stimuli to look inside themselves and accept life that changes, without sacrificing depth and self-irony.
Admission to the event is free, subject to availability.
In case of bad weather, the venue of the meeting may be subject to change. For updates and information, you can contact the bookshop through the appropriate buttons at the bottom of the page.
