On Tuesday, August 5, 2025, at 5:30 p.m., the cultural and literary review Aperitivo con l'Autore by Brazzale returns to light up the heart of Asiago with an appointment of rare emotional intensity. Francesco Vidotto, writer and mountaineer of the soul, presents his new novel "Onesto", published by Bompiani, on the central stage of Piazza Carli.

During a night of pouring rain, in a house in the woods of Cadore, a meeting destined to change everything begins: the one between Francesco and a mysterious man, Guido Contin known as Cognac, a pilgrim of memories and keeper of stories. The man, his face marked like the Dolomite rocks and his eyes as blue as the sky, carries with him a bundle of letters: each one is addressed to one of the majestic mountains that surround them, and each tells a piece of the life of Onesto, who has lost everything and yet considers himself the richest man in the world. A man who knows that loving is the opposite of possessing, who writes to the peaks so as not to forget who he was and what really matters.
Francesco Vidotto, with his evocative and authentic style, gives us a story that speaks to the heart, a reflection on freedom, love and the power of the bond with nature.
Admission to the event is free, subject to availability.
In case of bad weather, the venue of the meeting may be subject to change. For updates and information, you can contact the bookshop through the appropriate buttons at the bottom of the page.

Francesco Vidotto grew up among the peaks of the Dolomites and worked for twenty years as a consultant and manager of large companies, until he understood something that not even in the Faculty of Economics they had taught him: and that is that the greatest wealth that each of us has is time.
So he returned to his mountains, to Tai di Cadore, where he dedicates himself to nature and writing, which has always been his life partner. Among his short stories and novels we remember in particular Ocean, published by Minerva editions, loved by readers who have made it a longseller.
Francesco Vidotto is also an influencer, followed by more than 160,000 readers on Instagram who love him for his authenticity.
