On Sunday 15 June at 10.00 am, in Melaghetto sul Col Del Rosso, Stuttgart di Gallio, a commemoration ceremony will be held in honor of Eugenio Niccolai, gold medal for military valor, who fell heroically on the mountains of the Plateau during the First World War.
The event represents an important moment of reflection and historical memory, aimed at honoring the sacrifice of one of the many young soldiers who gave their lives for the homeland in the very hard fighting of the Alpine front.
In particular, Eugenio Niccolai distinguished himself for his courage and self-sacrifice during the first battle of the Three Mountains, in which he gloriously lost his life. For the heroism shown on that occasion, he was awarded the Gold Medal for Military Valour, the highest Italian military honour.
A touching opportunity to pay homage to those who wrote the history of these mountains with their blood.
