META: the woods of Monte Erio – Plateau of the Seven Municipalities (VI)

Event organized by the Pro Loco of Mezzaselva in collaboration with Asiago Guide.

On the evening of January 4, the peak of the passage of the Quadrantids, one of the largest meteor showers of the year, is expected. What better way to start 2025 than to entrust your wishes for the new year to shooting stars? 

The guide, a passionate amateur astronomer, during this easy snowshoe hike on Mount Erio, will not miss an opportunity to entertain you with scientific and mythological curiosities about the celestial vault!

Between snow and stars, you will cross the woods and pastures wrapped in the magical evening atmosphere to arrive at Baito Erio. Here the warmth and crackling melody of the lit fire and a typical mountain dinner with friends await you! 

The menu for the evening at Baito Erio includes:

• mountain soup
• platter of cold cuts and various cheeses from the Plateau with side dishes
• Cake and coffee
• water and wine included.

At the end of the dinner, you return, along a simple path, to the starting point. 

In the event that there is not enough snow, we will proceed on foot without the aid of snowshoes, there will be no price changes (rental excluded).

📈DIFFICULTY: we assign a difficulty 2 on a scale from 1 (very easy) to 5 (challenging)

The route is a loop and does not present any particular technical difficulties. It develops between mountain paths, and dirt roads. The uphill elevation gain is less than 220 m, there are no exposed sections.

🎒TO TAKE WITH YOU: waterproof mountain boots (No Moon Boot), layered clothing suitable for the mountain climate, waterproof jacket, backpack with hot water or tea for the duration of the excursion, a small snack such as dried fruit, hat, gloves, head torch (recommended with a fixed red light).

🫰COST: €50 per person for the guided excursion, snowshoe rental and dinner.
