Destination: Piana di Marcesina - Rifugio Barricata
We are in the Piana di Marcesina, also known as the little Finland of Italy. A jewel on the border between Veneto and Trentino that in winter becomes even more magical. A snowy corner of paradise that we will have the opportunity to cross with a snowmobile tour that will take us to the center of the Plain and to the Barricata Refuge. From here we will leave for a guided snowshoe hike among the warm colors of the sunset, we will follow the traces of wild animals and after sunset, returning under the starry sky where our naturalistic guide, passionate Amateur Astronomer, will not miss the opportunity to tell you many scientific and mythological curiosities about the celestial vault.
Then a typical dinner awaits us at the Rifugio Barricata with a choice of menu and convivial moments to spend an evening in the warmth of the fireplace.
After the overnight stay in a refuge and a mountain breakfast, we return to the cars with a guided snowshoe hike that will allow you to enjoy the well-being that only nature can offer, discovering the evolution of the landscape of the Piana di Marcesina.
Two days to live together a Mountain of Emotions, to discover the Plain of Marcesina!
DIFFICULTY: we assign a difficulty 2 on a scale from 1 (very easy) to 5 (challenging)
The route does not present particular technical difficulties and there are no exposed sections.
It develops between mountain paths and dirt roads. The difference in height uphill is less than 250 m.
TO BRING WITH YOU: mountain boots, layered clothing suitable for the mountain climate, waterproof jacket, water and / or hot tea for the duration of the excursion (at least 1 liter), a small snack such as dried fruit, cap, gloves, front battery (possibly with red light), everything you need to sleep in the refuge.
COST: € 160 for guided snowshoeing per person, dinner, overnight stay and breakfast at the Valmaron Refuge, snowmobile tour.
Possible snowshoes and poles rental: € 20 per person.
MEETING POINT: at 2.00 pm at the parking lot of the Valmaron Refuge, Enego (VI)
