GOAL: Marcesina - Asiago plateau (VI) and Grigno (TN)
In this excursion we will take you on a visit to the little Finland of Italy, which in summer is tinged with green hosting all the cows of the various pastures grazing.
In the early afternoon an excursion will take you to know intimately the mountain landscape of this great plain, while after the night spent at the Barricata Refuge we will make an excursion at high altitude (15 km with 800 m in altitude) going to visit one of the most magical places rich in history: the Anepoz, that is the number one stone of today's path of the cippi, former border line with the territories of the Austro-Hungarian Empire. Then we will enter another iconic place: the rock labyrinth of Castelloni di San Marco.
The guide interpreting the landscape will take you on a journey through history, and will tell you scientific and legendary curiosities about plants and animals that inhabit these places.
Reservations are required. To book it is necessary to pay a deposit of € 40, the remaining amount must be paid directly to the refuge.
DIFFICULTY: we assign a difficulty 4 on a scale from 1 (very easy) to 5 (challenging)
The route develops between mountain paths and dirt roads through the upper area of the Altopiano dei Sette Comuni. The difference in height uphill is less than 800 m there are short exposed sections.
TO BRING WITH YOU: mountain boots, layered clothing suitable for the mountain climate, waterproof jacket, water for the duration of the excursion (at least 1 liter), a small snack such as dried fruit, sunscreen, sunglasses, hat, PACKED LUNCH.
COST: € 120 for the guided excursion including refuge with half board. 100€ for children under 15 years. To book it is necessary to pay a deposit of € 40, the remaining amount must be paid directly to the refuge.
