GOAL: Silan Falls - on the slopes of the Asiago plateau and the Seven Municipalities (VI)
The gurgling of water, the scent of spring, the play of light created by the foliage of centuries-old chestnut trees, the voice of birdlife...
A sensory experience of total immersion in nature and its spring awakening that allows participants to regenerate and enjoy a pleasant day of discovery in the open air a stone's throw from the enchanting Bassano del Grappa.
A simple route, characterized by short stretches on paved roads with little traffic alternating with pavements, mule tracks and typical mountain paths lead to the discovery of Valrovina and its springs, to enter the Silan valley and be enraptured by its waterfalls. Silan, in fact, derives from the Cimbrian "Silaha" which with the suffix "an" means "place where the waters flow".
Reservations are required.
DIFFICULTY: we assign a difficulty 3 on a scale from 1 (very easy) to 5 (challenging)
The route is a ring and does not present particular technical difficulties. It develops between mountain paths and dirt roads. The difference in height uphill is less than 300 m, there are no exposed sections.
TO BRING WITH YOU: mountain boots, layered clothing suitable for the mountain climate, waterproof jacket, water for the duration of the excursion (at least 1 liter), possibly a small snack such as dried fruit, sunscreen, sunglasses and cap.
COST: 15€ for the guided excursion, 5€ for children under 15 years
MEETING PLACE: 9.30 am at the parking lot in front of the church of San Michele - Bassano del Grappa (VI) - Contrà S. Michele, 67, 36061 San Michele VI.
It starts on foot from the meeting place.
