On Sunday 17 August 2025, in Treschè Conca di Roana, you can try the experience of trekking with donkeys to discover a little-known area of the plateau, the one that is often only glimpsed in passing, passing by car. 

The departure is scheduled at 9:30 am from the Piazzale della Baita Azzurra in Treschè Conca; from here you immediately take the ancient road once traveled by the train that, from Piovene Rocchette, took people, goods and, during the First World War, even troops and ammunition to the Asiago Plateau. 

We then continue along a path that leads to the top of a hill bordered by ancient pastures, from which a beautiful view of Asiago opens up. 

The itinerary continues to the village of Cesuna, and then returns to the starting point through the tunnel carved into the rock, once traveled by the train.

During the excursion, children will be able to take turns riding donkeys in the sections where the route allows it, while adults will have the opportunity to lead them through the halter.

TO TAKE ON THE EXCURSION: mountain shoes, long pants, layered clothing, hat and sunscreen. Do not forget water for the entire duration of the excursion as there are no water supply points along the way.
