On Sunday, August 11 , 2024, from 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., a special excursion will be held in Cesuna di Roana along the evocative "Fronte di Vaia" Path of Remembrance on Mount Lèmerle, in the company of "Donkeys on the way". 
This event offers the unique opportunity to explore a place of great historical and naturalistic importance in the company of docile and friendly donkeys that will accompany the participants along the way.

The Path of Remembrance "Fronte di Vaia" is a commemorative itinerary that starts from the hamlet of Cesuna di Roana and winds along a ring route of about 6 km. This itinerary was created to remember the bloody battles of the First World War that took place in the area and to commemorate the devastation caused by storm Vaia in the autumn of 2018, which felled millions of trees on the Asiago Plateau. 
Along the way, six points of interest are enriched by works of art made from the wood of trees felled by the storm, accompanied by information panels describing the historical importance of each place.

The guided excursion will be characterized by trekking someggiato, i.e. the walk accompanied by donkeys, quiet and friendly travel companions. This type of trek offers a more relaxed and accessible experience, which is also ideal for families with children.
