On Wednesday 13 August 2025, the Pro Loco of Treschè Conca offers an unmissable historical-landscape excursion on Monte Fior, one of the most evocative and memory-rich places on the Asiago Plateau Seven Municipalities.
The excursion, of demanding difficulty, is aimed at walkers with good training and winds through unique landscapes and important historical testimonies.
Monte Fior, now immersed in the silence of nature, was the scene of fierce fighting during the First World War between the Italian and Austro-Hungarian armies. Even today in the area it is possible to observe well-preserved war remains : trenches, walkways, tunnels and military posts that make this area a true open-air museum.
In addition to its historical value, Monte Fior impresses with its natural beauty: the particular rock formations that shape the landscape have earned it the nickname "city of rock", making it one of the most fascinating places in the entire plateau.
An excursion between history and nature, to intensely experience one of the symbolic places of the Great War on the Asiago Plateau.
