META: Malga Montagna nuova - Asiago and Seven Municipalities Plateau (VI) On the occasion of the Made in Malga 2024 event we take you to discover the authentic life of the mountain pastures! What awaits you: The thrill of milking a cow by hand at Malga Montagna nuova, an ancient gesture handed down from generation to generation. A guided excursion through the paths of the plateau, to discover the flora and fauna of the pastures, immersed in a magical atmosphere. Boundless views of the Venetian plain and the mountains of the Plateau, illuminated by the colors of the sunset. Visit to the cheesemaker to discover the production techniques of fresh and aged cheese, as well as the aging techniques according to ancient traditions. A typical dinner (optional) based on products of malga products: Tasting of cheeses and cold cuts from the Tosella malga polenta and mushrooms Panna cotta Water and wine A perfect experience for all those who wish to experience a Mountain of Emotions in company! Reservations are required.
📈DIFFICULTY: we assign a difficulty 2 on a scale from 1 (very easy) to 5 (challenging) The route does not present any particular technical difficulties, it is suitable for everyone and develops between dirt roads and mountain paths. The uphill elevation gain is less than 200 m, there are no exposed sections.
🎒TO BRING WITH YOU: mountain boots, layered clothing suitable for the mountain climate, waterproof jacket, backpack with water for the duration of the excursion (at least 1 liter), a small snack such as dried fruit, sunscreen, sunglasses, hat, headlamp for the 10-minute walk back after dinner.
🫰COST: €20 for the guided excursion and milking per person, €15 for children under 15 years old. COST OF DINNER: € 15 per person for the above menu to be paid directly at the hut - children's dinner with a reduced menu of € 10.
