The Municipality of Roana, through the Department of Social Policies, together with local associations and with the support of all local realities, organizes a commemorative torchlight procession on the occasion of the International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women.
The event, entitled "Let's Break the Wall of Silence", will be held on Saturday, November 25, 2023 at the Lonaba Pond in Roana, starting at 18:00 in line with the active participation of the 23 municipalities belonging to District 1 of the USSL 7 .
The sharing of this initiative by a large portion of the territory underlines the importance and urgency of acting together to eradicate the scourge of violence against women.
The event is not only a moment of reflection and awareness, but also an opportunity for all the communities of Roana and the District to express a strong message of solidarity with the victims and collective commitment against all forms of gender-based violence.
We therefore invite all residents of Roana but also of the other 23 municipalities to actively participate in this important initiative, thus demonstrating the strength of collaboration in the fight against violence against women.
Every step, every voice and every lit torch will be a tangible sign of our shared commitment to eradicate this serious social scourge.
The torchlight procession will end with the hope that our territory can become an example of a community that comes together to eradicate violence against women, promoting a future in which mutual respect is the fundamental basis of coexistence.
