On Saturday, August 31 , 2024, at 8:30 p.m., in Gallio, at the Cineghel, the conference "END OF LIFE: towards care or euthanasia? Questions and answers", an opportunity for reflection and discussion on a delicate and highly topical issue.

The conference will see the participation of authoritative speakers: Biancamaria Fraccaro, Elisabetta de Septis, Father Ermanno Barucco and Léopold Vanbellingen.

Biancamaria Fraccaro, general practitioner will talk about her experience gained in the palliative care network.

Elisabetta de Septis, lawyer and professor of "Biolaw" at the Faculty of Canon Law "San Pio X" in Venice, will bring her expertise on issues related to the end of life

Father Ermanno Barucco, prior of the Discalced Carmelites of Venice and professor at the Pontifical Theological Faculty "Teresianum", will offer a spiritual and moral perspective on the subject.

Léopold Vanbellingen, of the Institut Européen de Bioéthique in Brussels, will present the situation in Belgium twenty years after the approval of the euthanasia law in a video conference.

The meeting will be moderated by Luca Bortoli, director of the magazine "Difesa del Popolo", who will lead the debate and coordinate the questions and answers, encouraging a constructive dialogue between the speakers and the public.

This event represents an important opportunity to deepen and better understand the different facets of the issue of the end of life, through the contribution of qualified experts and the comparison of ideas and opinions. 

Participation is open to all those who wish to inform themselves and reflect on these complex and crucial topics.
