META: the woods of Canove di Roana – Plateau of the Seven Municipalities (VI)
Event co-financed and organized in collaboration with the Pro Loco of Canove and the Municipal Administration of Roana.
An excursion to discover the evolution of the landscape between nature and history in Canove.
What to expect:
- travel stories of plants, men and animals that have made the history of these mountains from the Great War to the present day along the Train Road and along ancient roads connecting the Plateau and the Plain
- an immersion in the Forest that will involve all your senses from the balsamic scents of the fir woods and the freshness of the undergrowth, the voice of the birdlife and the colors of the mountain flowers to enjoy the well-being that only nature can give.
- the discovery of the deep connection between human life and the life of the woods that surround us to understand how everything is changing very rapidly due to climate change. After Storm Vaia, what are the future prospects of this land?

📈DIFFICULTY: we assign a difficulty 2 on a scale from 1 (very easy) to 5 (challenging)
The route is a loop, suitable for everyone and develops between dirt roads and mountain paths and a few short stretches of paved road with little traffic. The uphill difference in height is less than 200 m, there are no exposed sections and it does not present any particular technical difficulties.
🎒TO TAKE WITH YOU: mountain boots, layered clothing suitable for the mountain climate, waterproof jacket, backpack with water for the duration of the excursion, a small snack such as dried fruit, hat, sunglasses and sunscreen.
🫰COST: €5 for the guided excursion per person. Free for residents in the municipality of Roana.
