On Saturday 21 June 2025, the E-Bike Rental of the Valmaron Refuge offers a guided excursion by intermediate level e-bike to discover one of the most scenic and significant places in the Plateau of the Seven Municipalities: Mount Lisser and its historic Fort.
The tour "Mount Lisser: between panorama and history" will lead participants along a varied and exciting itinerary, which climbs up to the summit of the mountain at 1633 meters above sea level, from which you can enjoy one of the most beautiful views of the entire plateau, with the view that also opens up to the north with the Piana di Marcesina and the Cima Dodici-Ortigara mountain range.
The culminating point of the route is Fort Lisser, built on the summit between 1911 and 1914 to defend the Italian border against the Austro-Hungarian Empire, in order to bar the enemy from access to Valsugana. Recently restored, the fort is an important site of memory of the First World War and represents one of the main stages of the historical-naturalistic itineraries of the area. The stop here offers a moment full of emotion.
The excursion is of intermediate difficulty, making it accessible to those with a minimum of e-bike experience and good physical fitness.
The meeting is set at 8:30 am at the Valmaron Refuge, with return scheduled for around 12:30 pm, followed by a typical lunch at the refuge.
The excursion is open to everyone, both to those who rent an e-bike at the Valmaron Refuge, and to those who use their own. Different rates apply depending on the option you choose (see details below).
