Presemtazione del libro "I sette corvi" di Matteo Strukul a Gallio 9 agosto 2025

On Saturday 9 August 2025, at 5:30 pm in Piazza Giardini in Gallio, the summer literary review "Aperitif with the author by Brazzale" continues with a meeting not to be missed: the protagonist will be Matteo Strukul, bestselling author and winner of the Bancarella Prize, who will present his latest novel "The Seven Crows", published by Newton Compton Editori.

The appointment will be a special opportunity to get to know the Paduan writer, already famous for his historical and noir works, and to discover the disturbing and evocative atmospheres of his new thriller set in the Venetian Alps.

In fact, the story takes place in Rauch, a tiny and imaginary village in Val Ghiaccia, a remote alpine valley on the border between Veneto and Friuli, which becomes the scene of the brutal murder of a young teacher and a breathtaking investigation. Between dark symbols, medieval legends and mysterious apparitions, the story unfolds at a fast pace, combining elements of the thriller with fantasy and folkloristic nuances.

A journey into the darkest and most fascinating part of the mountain, among banshees, superstitions and ancient curses, which also reflects on the themes of mourning, the parent-child relationship and the search for truth.

Strukul, born in Padua in 1973, is a writer, screenwriter, lecturer and PhD in European law. He conquered the general public and critics with the successful tetralogy dedicated to the Medici of Florence, which earned him the Bancarella Prize in 2017, one of the most prestigious literary awards in Italy.
A versatile author, he has ranged between historical novels, thrillers and noir, signing numerous publishing successes such as "Giacomo Casanova. The sonata of broken hearts", "The seven dynasties", "The crown of power", "Dante enigma", "The cemetery of Venice" and "The crypt of Venice". His works have been translated into many languages, published in several countries and optioned for film and television. He is also a professor of interactive screenwriting at Link University in Rome and co-founder of the literary movement Sugarpulp.

Admission to the event is free, subject to availability.
