Saturday 1 March 2025 from 4.30 pm to 7.30 pm

Destination: Piana di Marcesina - Plateau of the Seven Municipalities 

With this snowshoeing our steps through the Marcesina Plain will be guided by the warm light of the sunset that will leave room for a myriad of stars that creates a suggestive atmosphere around us.

In the dark mountain sky, our view can range from the profiles of the surrounding mountains to the celestial vault. The guide, a passionate amateur astronomer will entertain you with many scientific and mythological curiosities about the winter sky that always makes us dream. 

After a convivial moment in this place where time seems to have stopped, the return will take place with a panoramic snowmobile tour that will take us to the starting point.

At the end of the excursion it will be possible to have dinner with friends at the Valmaron Refuge. 

The menu includes:

• Porcini mushroom pie
• Polenta sopressa cheese mushrooms
• Coffee mousse
• Water, wine and coffee included

INDICATE ON NOTES THE NUMBER OF PARTICIPANTS WHO WILL STAY FOR DINNER and any food intolerances/allergies.

📈DIFFICULTY: we assign a difficulty 2 on a scale from 1 (very easy) to 5 (challenging)

The route develops between mountain paths and dirt roads. The uphill elevation gain is less than 220 m, there are no exposed sections.

The route may be subject to variations due to the presence - absence of ice / snow but the difficulty will remain unchanged.

🎒TO BRING ALONG: waterproof mountain boots (No Moon Boot), layered clothing suitable for the mountain climate, waterproof jacket, backpack with hot water or tea for the duration of the excursion, a small snack such as dried fruit, cap, gloves, head torch (recommended with a fixed red light). A blanket is recommended for the return by snowmobile.

🫰COST: €55 for the guided snowshoe hike per person and the return by snowmobile, €45 for subscribers.

Snowshoes and poles rental: €10 per person. 

Participants will be offered a taste of local products. 

In the event that there is not enough snow, we will proceed on foot without the aid of snowshoes and it will not be possible to proceed with the snowmobile. All those booked will be notified in advance of any changes to the program due to lack of snow or weather conditions. 

🍽 COST OF DINNER: € 25 per person at the Valmaron refuge for the above menu.

The cost of the dinner must be paid directly on site at the restaurant.
