DESTINATION: the woods and meadows of Cesuna – Asiago Plateau and the Seven Municipalities (VI)
The event is co-financed and organized in collaboration with the Pro Loco of Cesuna and the Municipal Administration of Roana.
Live an unforgettable experience in the woods and meadows of Cesuna in search of fireflies!
What to expect:
- A creative reuse workshop to create magic lanterns whose light will guide our path.
- A guided hike at sunset where you can immerse yourself in the woods, follow the calls of tawny owls and who knows, maybe even some deer...
- As darkness falls... The encounter with the fireflies! These incredible insects of which you will discover many scientific curiosities and fascinating stories.

📈DIFFICULTY: we assign a difficulty of 1 on a scale from 1 (very easy) to 5 (challenging)
The route is a loop and does not present any particular technical difficulties. It develops starting from the village of Cesuna on a few short stretches of asphalt road, mountain paths and dirt roads. The difference in height is less than 200 m, there are no exposed sections.
🎒WHAT TO BRING WITH YOU: mountain boots, layered clothing suitable for the mountain climate, waterproof jacket, backpack with water for the duration of the excursion, a small snack such as dried fruit, hat, headlamp (if you have it, we will try not to use it to have the opportunity to see more fireflies). With a view to creative reuse, you are invited to bring a glass jar (well cleaned) that you want to turn into a lantern. On site, however, there will be jars for all those present.
🫰COST: €5 for the guided excursion and workshop per person (materials included). Free for residents in the municipality of Roana.
