GOAL: Piana di Marcesina - Asiago plateau (VI)
The plain of Marcesina, also known as the little Finland of Italy, is a place where time seems to have stopped, a place that knows how to fascinate those who stop to observe, especially in winter.
During this excursion we will have the opportunity to discover many curiosities about snow, winter and climate change.
We move following the tracks of wildlife and discovering the ancient history of this vast scenery of rare beauty.
And after this snowshoeing, as Guglielmo Gobbi said in the book Enego:
"You will leave, but bringing with you a lively desire to see again and try again, a sweet nostalgia, like that which comes from dear places."
Reservations are required.
DIFFICULTY: we assign a difficulty 2 on a scale from 1 (very easy) to 5 (challenging)
The route develops between mountain paths and dirt roads. The difference in height uphill is less than 250 m, there are no exposed sections.
TO TAKE WITH YOU: mountain boots, layered clothing suitable for the mountain climate, waterproof jacket, water or hot tea for the duration of the excursion, a small snack such as dried fruit, sunglasses, cap, gloves.
COST: 15€ for the guided excursion. 5€ for children under 15 years.
Possible snowshoes and poles rental: € 10 per person.
In case there is not enough snow we will proceed on foot without the aid of snowshoes.
MEETING POINT: 9.30 am at the parking lot of the Valmaron Refuge, Enego (VI)
It starts on foot from the meeting place.
