Destination: Monte Chiesa - Asiago Plateau Seven Municipalities
During this day among the high-altitude nature we will visit the northern area of the plateau, where Monte Chiesa is located, of fundamental strategic importance during the First World War.
Of the war, in addition to military strategies, we delve into what life was like at the front. Everywhere, but especially in these places, the survival of soldiers was linked to the possibility of having water and foodstuffs available. It is no coincidence that the Austrians tenaciously guarded the "buso del giasso", as it is called by the locals, one of the karst chasms where it is (or was) possible to find ice throughout the year.
The guide, interpreting the visible traces of the landscape , will also tell you how much it has changed and is changing at speed and what will be the future prospects for the nature that surrounds us and its relationship with man.

📈DIFFICULTY: we assign a difficulty 3 on a scale from 1 (very easy) to 5 (challenging)
The route develops between mountain paths and dirt roads crossing the upper area of the Plateau of the Seven Municipalities. The uphill elevation gain is less than 400 m, there is a partially exposed section .
🎒TO BRING WITH YOU: mountain boots, layered clothing suitable for the mountain climate, waterproof jacket, backpack with water for the duration of the excursion (at least 1 L), a small snack such as dried fruit, hat, sunscreen, sunglasses, any towel to sit on, PACKED LUNCH.
🫰COST: €25 for the guided excursion per person, €10 for children under 15 and season ticket holders.
