Destination: Monte Ortigara - Asiago Plateau Seven Municipalities

Mount Ortigara is the symbolic mountain of the Great War in the Plateau. 

The distance from the villages, the harsh and long winters, the scarce vegetation, make the signs left by the two armies lined up to fight each other up here at 2000 m during the First World War perfectly visible.

During this excursion we will leave the beaten path to rediscover the Austro-Hungarian front, its lines and its military "tactics".

The guide interpreting the landscape will take you on a journey through the history of this place, he will not fail to tell you about the particularities about flowers and plants that live there like edelweiss.

A moment of relaxation in which we will have a packed lunch will not fail to leave us breathless for the view of the Alps!

📈DIFFICULTY: we assign a difficulty 4 on a scale from 1 (very easy) to 5 (challenging)

The route develops between mountain paths and dirt roads crossing the upper area of the Plateau of the Seven Municipalities. The uphill elevation gain is less than 550 m, there is a partially exposed section .

🎒TO BRING WITH YOU: mountain boots, layered clothing suitable for the mountain climate, waterproof jacket, backpack with water for the duration of the excursion (at least 1 L), a small snack such as dried fruit, hat, sunscreen, sunglasses, any towel to sit on, PACKED LUNCH. 

🫰COST: €25 for the guided excursion per person, €10 for children under 15 and season ticket holders.

NB INDICATE ON NOTES THE PRESENCE OF CHILDREN UNDER 15 YEARS OF AGE WITH THEIR RESPECTIVE AGE.

Participants will be offered a taste of local products.
