Destination: Monte Zebio - Asiago Plateau Seven Municipalities 

Walking through the enchanting views of Monte Zebio we will discover the war events that marked this place and a luxuriant nature that enchants.

The area was the scene of bitter clashes during the Great War, it was one of the junctions from the Austrian "Winterstellung" and opposite stood the Italian trenches from where they tried in vain to regain the positions lost in 1916. Here during his "year on the plateau" Captain Emilio Lussu also fought, in fact we will find the cemetery of his unit: the Sassari Brigade.

The guide, interpreting today's landscape, will take you on a journey through the history of this place to give you an experience in Nature full of emotions!

📈DIFFICULTY: we assign a difficulty 4 on a scale from 1 (very easy) to 5 (challenging)

The route develops between mountain paths, dirt roads. There are no exposed sections. The uphill elevation gain is less than 670 m.

🎒TO BRING WITH YOU: mountain boots, layered clothing suitable for the mountain climate (long trousers are strongly recommended), waterproof jacket, backpack with water for the duration of the excursion (at least 1 L), a small snack such as dried fruit, hat, sunscreen, sunglasses, any towel to sit on, PACKED LUNCH. 

🫰COST: €25 for the guided excursion per person, €10 for children under 15 and season ticket holders. 

Participants will be offered a taste of local products. 

🧭MEETING POINT:  10.00 a.m. in Val Giardini - Asiago (VI) (on the slopes of Mount Zebio) 

We start on foot from the meeting point. 

There are no services (toilet - refreshment) at the starting point and not all telephone companies have reception.
