On Sunday, July 13, 2025, one of the most heartfelt and participated events of Italian historical memory is renewed on the Asiago Plateau 7 Municipalities : the Pilgrimage to Ortigara, in memory of the fallen, missing and mutilated of the First World War.

The event, always very heartfelt, attracts numerous participants from all over the Veneto and all over Italy every year, united by the desire to pay homage to those who lost their lives in the tragic fighting that bloodied these mountains between 1915 and 1918.

Organized to honor the sacrifice of the soldiers who fought on Ortigara and the surrounding fronts during the Great War, the pilgrimage includes two liturgical moments: the Holy Mass at the Church of Monte Lozze and, afterwards, the ceremony at the Severed Column of Cima Ortigara.

The event also represents an opportunity to reflect on peace and history, immersed in the majestic and silent setting of the mountains of the Plateau, the scene of one of the most dramatic pages of the Italian twentieth century.
