Presentation film "The Water Diviner" by Russel Crowe, review images of war-2015 Asiago plateau
Friday 17 July 2015 for the exhibition "images of war-2015" with two shows-at 17.00 and at 20.45 -at the cinema Lux of Asiago will present the film "The Water Diviner" of the famous New Zealand actor Russell Crowe.
THE WATER DIVINER
1919. Australian farmer Joshua Connor, now just after his wife's death, decides to leave for Turkey. From there, more precisely from Gallipoli, did never return his three sons left years before to fight in theANZAC (Australian and New Zealand Army Corps). Connor must overcome obstacles raised by the bureaucratic structure of the army but will find a valuable aid in major Hasan who during the war was on the opposite side.
Crowe decides to honor the history of the land that gave birth with a double outside. In fact we placed first in Australian locations but instead in the Turkish trenches and to follow we conducted at 9000 miles away in Australia where Connor, four years later, must fight daily with the absence of the children and with the guilt for having allowed them to leave.
