On Sunday, June 23, 2024, at 4:00 p.m., a Holy Mass will be held at the Church of Busafonda in Gallio, in memory of the fallen of the Battle of the Melette, a tragic episode of the First World War that profoundly marked the history of the Plateau of the Seven Municipalities.
This solemn event offers a moment of reflection and commemoration to honor the sacrifice of the many soldiers who fought and lost their lives on the lands of the Plateau, places that were the scene of crucial clashes during the conflict.
The Holy Mass will be an opportunity for the local community and visitors to gather in prayer, pay homage to the fallen and reflect on the deep scars left by the Great War. It will be an opportunity to share together the memory and respect for those who sacrificed everything for the future of subsequent generations.
