Also this year, in the heart of the magnificent Plateau of the Seven Municipalities, Gallio will host an event that celebrates the traditions, nature and flavors of a land rich in history and charm.
On Sunday 22 September 2024, in the beautiful highland center, the second edition of "SCARGAR MALGA!" will be held, an event dedicated to mountain pastures, honey and the millenary tradition of transhumance.
The day will be an unmissable opportunity to discover the rhythms and customs related to life in the mountain hut, a cultural heritage that has its roots in the ancient practices of breeding and management of the mountain territory.

Throughout the day, Gallio will come alive with the presence of beekeepers and malga people who will exhibit their products in the square, offering visitors the opportunity to discover and taste the excellence of the territory.
Workshops for children - Recreational play area - 10.00/12.30 a.m.
Your children can have fun with the educational games by Party Bimbi: "Cows and bees to the rescue" is a set of small themed creative workshops.
Passage of the transhumance of the herd of Malga Busafonda - 12.30 p.m.
The spectacle of the transhumance of the herd of Malga Busafonda is a unique opportunity to relive an ancient tradition that has its roots in the history of our mountains (departure from the malga at about 11.30 am).
Let's get to know the world of bees hours - 14.00/18.00
You will discover the magical world of bees and honey production, curated by Massimiliano Gnesotto's "MalgAsiago". It will be possible to taste the honeys offered in the square and vote for your favorite for the competition of the best honey "Meadows and pastures in a jar. 2024 edition". The award ceremony is scheduled for 6.00 pm.
Delivery of the traditional "ciocca" - 4.00 p.m.
The traditional "lock" will be delivered by the Municipal Administration of Gallio to the Malga Busafafa hut, protagonist of "Scargar Malga!".
Excursion "ndemo a scargar malghe" - 9.30 a.m.
For lovers of walking, moreover, the excursion "Ndemo a scargar malghe" offers a unique experience among the evocative mountain landscapes of the Plateau.
The meeting is set for about 9.30 am at the Ghelpach car park, from where we will move by bus to Malga Busafonda. Here, you will have the opportunity to visit the malga.
At 11.30 a.m., accompanied by AsiagoGuide, the exciting journey will start together with the herd, experiencing the return of the animals from the pastures up close.
The cost of the excursion is €10 per person, with reservations required.
