Guided historical-naturalistic walk among the places of the Great War

Destination: Monte Pasubio
The Strada delle 52 Gallerie del Pasubio is undoubtedly one of the most fascinating excursions in our territory. A path that exudes history, work, effort and takes your breath away for the spectacular views it gives to those who start on the path. About six hundred men, eleven months and about forty drilling hammers, created a spectacular path, breathtaking both for the history that animates the bare rock, motionless, and for the views that can be admired. We are talking about the "Road of the First Army", known by all as the "Road of the 52 Tunnels".
It was born as a mule track, or a road designed for the passage of beasts of burden to allow the transit of men and char in any season and in any weather, covered by the sight and attack of the enemy during the First World War.
Reservations are required.
Mandatory personal equipment of mask and disinfectant gel.
DIFFICULTY: we assign a difficulty 4 on a scale from 1 (very easy) to 5 (challenging).
The route includes 6.3 km, of which 2.3 km through the 52 tunnels, which are covered in about 3 hours, with a positive difference in height of almost 800 m. From the Achille Papa refuge 1,928 m it is possible to extend the visit to the Sacred Zone up to the Italian and Austrian Teeth, to the Roman Arch and finally to the Italian War Cemetery called "From here you do not pass". For the return you go down the Scarubbi road, which brings the excursion back to Bocchetta Campiglia.
TO TAKE WITH YOU: mountain boots, layered clothing suitable for the mountain climate, jacket
waterproof, water for the duration of the excursion (at least 1 liter), a small snack such as dried fruit, sunglasses, cap. PACKED LUNCH.
COST:for the guided excursion € 20 for adults and € 5 for children under 15 years.
MEETING POINT:9.15 am Bocchetta Campiglia -Posina (VI), Paid parking, only with coins (it is advisable to get coins of 1 or 2 €).
It starts on foot from the meeting point.
