Wednesday, August 23, 2023, in Mezzaselva di Roana, nature and photography lovers will have a unique opportunity to immerse themselves in the fauna of the Asiago Plateau Seven Municipalities.
The appointment is at 20.45 at the field of Mezzaselva, near Zanzibar.
The event, entitled "Photo evening: history of the fauna of the plateau", will feature the nature photographer Ivan Mosele and the guide Emanuele Pernechele. The two experts will take the audience on a visual and emotional journey through different eras, highlighting the rich animal diversity that has inhabited and still inhabits our mountains.
Although deer, chamois and roe deer are among the first animals that come to mind when we think of the mountains, the reality is much more complex and fascinating. Ibex, wolves, marmots and mouflons have significantly influenced, at different times and in different ways, the local ecosystem, each with a unique and profound story to tell.
But it's not just mammals. The evening will highlight the rich and varied world of birds of the Plateau, many of which, like the Capercaillie and the Ptarmigan are unfortunately disappearing.
And we must not forget those small silent inhabitants, such as the ermine and the squirrel, which populate the undergrowth and the treetops.
This event promises to be not only educational, but also exciting and engaging, offering a rare perspective on the nature surrounding Mezzaselva.
The event with free admission is organized and offered by the Pro Loco of Mezzaselva.
