On Saturday 23 August 2025, starting at 17:00, Piazza Giardini in Gallio will host "Double Check", a special event dedicated to chess enthusiasts, which will involve two extraordinary protagonists in a double simultaneous.

At the same time, on two separate fronts, two simultaneous matches open to the public will be played:

- on the one hand, 15 players will face Veronika Goi, a national first category player, former Italian Absolute Champion and Italian Team Champion, known for her precise style and great ability to strategic analysis;

- on the other hand, 20 players will challenge Kenny Solomon, International Grandmaster, former South African National Champion and African Continental Champion, the first and only South African player to have obtained the prestigious title of GM.

The initiative represents an unmissable opportunity to test yourself by challenging real champions or even just to closely observe the talent and vision of two great interpreters of the chessboard.
