As part of the calendar of "Su, in Malga!", the summer festival promoted by the Municipality of Gallio to enhance the culture of the mountain pastures, a special morning is scheduled for Wednesday 9 July 2025 (from 9:30 to 12:30) in contact with nature and the animals of the Plateau.
In the company of Asiago Guide, participants will take part in an excursion through the high-altitude pastures of Malga 1° Lotto, in the splendid plain of Marcesina, to live an unforgettable experience among the prairies and the authentic atmosphere of the mountain.
The absolute protagonists will be the Paint horses and the Angus cows, which will be possible to observe up close in an extraordinary natural setting.
Horses have always supported the work of the malga people: only the arrival of tractors has reduced their presence, but their role and charm remain unchanged. It is no coincidence that toponyms such as Rossingroba, Rossapoan, Rossignolo and Campocavallo seem to refer to ancient mountain pastures reserved for them.
It will be an opportunity to experience "a mountain of emotions" in the company of animals, among the high-altitude prairies, rediscovering the deep bond between man, the environment and tradition.

The route does not present any particular technical difficulties, is suitable for everyone and develops between dirt roads and mountain paths. The uphill elevation gain is less than 100 m, there are no exposed sections.
🎒TO BRING ALONG: mountain boots, layered clothing suitable for the mountain climate, waterproof jacket, backpack with water for the duration of the excursion, a small snack such as dried fruit, sunscreen, sunglasses, hat.
