Destination: the places of the Sassari Brigade - Monte Zebio - Plateau of the Seven Municipalities

We start on foot from the Rigoni di Sopra district for a suggestive route between mountain paths and ancient connecting roads that cross lush and fresh beech and fir forests.

Among the wonders of nature, the higher you go, the more evident the traces of the Great War appear on this territory: cave tunnels, trenches, barracks, ...

Arriving at the area sacred to the soldiers of the Sassari Brigade, there will be a reading taken from Emilio Lussu who wrote a year on the Plateau so as not to forget and appreciate more the beauty that surrounds us.

We'll have a packed lunch at a viewpoint surrounded by marmots and grazing cows and then descend through the woods.

📈DIFFICULTY: we assign a difficulty 4 on a scale from 1 (very easy) to 5 (challenging)

The route develops between mountain paths, dirt roads. There are no exposed sections. The uphill elevation gain is less than 670 m.

🎒TO BRING WITH YOU: mountain boots, layered clothing suitable for the mountain climate, waterproof jacket, backpack with water for the duration of the excursion (at least 1 L), a small snack such as dried fruit, hat, sunscreen, sunglasses, any towel to sit on, PACKED LUNCH. 

🫰COST: €25 for the guided excursion per person, €10 for children under 15 and season ticket holders. 

Participants will be offered a taste of local products.
