Destination: Mount Ekar - Plateau of the Seven Municipalities

Depending on the snow present, it will be a hike or a snowshoe hike. All those booked will be notified of the condition of the substrate the day before the excursion. 

Marvel at a breathtaking sunset and discover the secrets of the starry sky on a guided hike to Ekar Peak. We will cross gentle slopes and enchanted beech and fir forests to reach the observation station and admire the view of the central basin of Asiago.

What to expect:

• Spectacular sunset: Admire the sun setting behind the mountain profiles.
• Astronomical Observatory: Learn about the history and activities of the Cima Ekar station.
• Sky Observation: Admire the stars, planets, and constellations. 
• Stories and curiosities: Discover curiosities about the universe between astronomy and mythology. 

Reservations are required. 

📈DIFFICULTY:  we assign a difficulty 3 on a scale from 1 (very easy) to 5 (challenging). The route does not present any particular technical difficulties. The uphill elevation gain is less than 270 m, there are no exposed sections.

🎒TO BRING ALONG: waterproof mountain boots (No Moon Boot), layered clothing suitable for the mountain climate, waterproof jacket, backpack with water for the duration of the excursion, a small snack such as dried fruit, hat, gloves, head torch (recommended with a fixed red light).

🫰COST: €20 for the guided snowshoe hike per person, €15 for children under 15 and season ticket holders. 

Snowshoes and poles rental: €10 per person. 

Participants will be offered a taste of local products. 

In the event that there is not enough snow, we will proceed on foot without the aid of snowshoes, there will be no price changes (rental excluded).

🧭MEETING POINT:  4.00 p.m. Ekar  area Precise information on the meeting place with georeferenced position will be sent to those booked the day before the event depending on the snow present. We start on foot from the meeting point.
