GOAL: Piana di Vezzena - Alpecimbra
Wandering around the Piana di Vezzena, this half-day snowshoe hike reveals a world of suggestions.
The crisp snow under the snowshoes guides us through enchanted landscapes, while the profile of Fort Spitz Verle whispers stories of battles that took place there during the First World War.
A careful look also reveals the silent presence of mountain animals such as hare footprints in the white winter mantle.
Signs of wild life that blend with the thousand-year history of the Plain, which has long been a borderland.
In every step, the Piana di Vezzena reveals how the landscape we can enjoy today the close connections between nature and human history and where beauty is intertwined with the memories of the past.
Reservations are mandatory.
In the event that there is not enough snow, you will proceed on foot without the aid of snowshoes.
DIFFICULTY: we assign a difficulty of 2 on a scale from 1 (very easy) to 5 (challenging)
The route is a loop and does not present any particular technical difficulties. It develops between mountain paths and dirt roads. The difference in height is less than 200 m, there are no exposed sections.
WHAT TO BRING WITH YOU: waterproof mountain boots, layered clothing suitable for the mountain climate, waterproof jacket, water or hot tea for the duration of the excursion, a small snack such as dried fruit, sunglasses, hat, gloves.
COST: €15 for the guided excursion per person, €10 for children under 15 and season ticket holders.
Snowshoes and poles can be rented: €10 per person.
