DESTINATION: Malga Bosco secco – Asiago Plateau and the Seven Municipalities (VI)
Event co-financed and organized in collaboration with the Pro Loco of Canove and the Municipal Administration of Roana.
A guided excursion to discover Malga Bosco Secco, a hidden corner of the Seven Municipalities.
What to expect:
- Paths full of surprises through woods and high-altitude clearings with evocative landscapes rich in biodiversity, from wild animals such as marmots to precious mountain flowers such as nigritella.
- Traces of the history of the First and Second World Wars: walkways, cave tunnels, partisans' hiding places and much more.
- Unprecedented panoramas from particular angles towards the upper area of the Seven Municipalities and the Alps
- Sunset at Malga Bosco Secco: former Malga Endowment of Canove di Roana, where today it is easy to meet grazing sheep and learn more about the history and traditions of life in the mountain pastures. This is where we will have the picnic dinner.
- The return under the stars of which the guide will tell you scientific and mythological curiosities.

📈DIFFICULTY: we assign a difficulty 3 on a scale from 1 (very easy) to 5 (challenging) The route is a loop and does not present any particular technical difficulties. It develops between mountain paths and dirt roads. The difference in height is less than 350 m, there are no exposed sections.
🎒WHAT TO BRING WITH YOU: mountain boots, layered clothing suitable for the mountain climate, waterproof jacket, backpack with water for the duration of the excursion (at least 1 liter), a small snack such as dried fruit, sunscreen, sunglasses, hat, headlamp possibly with fixed red light. Packed dinner, possible blanket to sit on. It is advisable to have an extra layer of clothing in your backpack because after sunset the temperature may drop. Long pants recommended.
🫰COST: €10 for the guided excursion per person. Free for residents in the municipality of Roana.
