Destination: the woods of the Asiago Plateau
Immerse yourself in a magical atmosphere, among the fir forests. Snowshoeing among imposing trunks, which create exciting plays of light and shadow, you will discover stories of war, rebirth and change. Fir trees are witnesses of the past and of a deep connection between man and nature.
What to expect:
- Stories of plants, men and animals: Learn about the stories of the fir trees, silent witnesses of the Great War, storm Vaia and climate change.
- Biodiversity: See the tracks of the animals that inhabit the forest and admire the adaptation of the trees to the colder seasons.
- Cimbrian legends: Hear fascinating stories passed down from generation to generation by the Cimbrian community and learn about the traditional uses of these plants.
- A sensory experience: let yourself be enveloped by the balsamic scents, the voice of and the beauty of the winter landscape.
- A moment of reflection: what future for the fir forests of the Plateau?
Reservations are required.
📈DIFFICULTY: we assign a difficulty 2 on a scale from 1 (very easy) to 5 (challenging). The route does not present any particular technical difficulties. The uphill elevation gain is less than 250 m, there are no exposed sections.
🎒TO BRING ALONG: waterproof mountain boots (No Moon Boot), layered clothing suitable for the mountain climate, waterproof jacket, backpack with water for the duration of the excursion or hot tea, a small snack such as dried fruit, hat, gloves, sunglasses.
🫰COST: €20 for the guided snowshoe hike per person, €10 for children under 15 and season ticket holders.
Snowshoes and poles rental: €10 per person.
Participants will be offered a taste of local products.
In the event that there is not enough snow, we will proceed on foot without the aid of snowshoes, there will be no price changes (rental excluded).
🧭MEETING POINT: 9.30 a.m. in the upper area of the Plateau of the Seven Municipalities.
Precise information on the meeting place with georeferenced position will be sent to those booked the day before the event based on the snow present.
