On Saturday 21 June 2025, nature and history enthusiasts will have the opportunity to participate in an interesting guided excursion in the Ongara area, in the territory of Gallio, to discover one of the symbolic places of the Asiago Plateau. The initiative offers an immersion between the landscapes of the Plateau and the stories of the Great War, with particular attention to the observatories, the positions and the transmission systems that characterized this strategic area during the conflict.

The route leads participants towards the Croce Ongara, crossing a mountain environment of great beauty, dotted with historical evidence that is still visible. During the excursion, the guides of Il Fauno will share anecdotes and explanations related to the First World War, bringing to light little-known events of great significance for the area.

The meeting is set at 9.00 am in front of the Gallio Tourist Office. 

The hike is of easy difficulty.

Paid activity: € 15 per person.
