Activation of the new information service of the Municipality of Asiago on Telegram

The Municipality of Asiago informs that it will now be possible to be updated in real time about events and cultural activities,as well as receive information of public utility by subscribing to Telegram and joining the following channels:

- Municipality of Asiago - Events (https://t.me/comuneasiagoeventi);

- Municipality of Asiago - Public Utility (https://t.me/comuneasiagoutilita).

The two official channels of the Municipality of Asiago are distinguished from any similar channels because they use the official logo of the City of Asiago.

This information service is FREE and subject to the internet connection of the device from which you want to access.

The choice of Telegram compared to other messaging applications is dictated by some technical characteristics that allow the creation of one-to-many one-way communication information channels, without the Body having to know or request the telephone number from the participants, who are free to join or leave the channel at any time they wish. The service is therefore ANONYMOUS and for this reason does not provide for the publication of a privacy policy by the Municipality of Asiago. To proceed with the activation of a Telegram account, however, the user must express his consent to the processing of data by the service provider as indicated in the privacy policy made available by the same.

To subscribe to the service, simply install the Telegram Application on your smartphone / tablet / computer:all versions can be downloaded from PlayStore / AppleStore, as well as being available on the official website (https://telegram.org/). Once you have created your account, you will have to search for the name of the channel to which you want to subscribe ("Municipality of Asiago - Events" and / or "Municipality of Asiago - Public Utility") and click on the "JOIN" button. Once this simple procedure has been performed, each new news published on the channel will be sent a notification from Telegram directly on the device on which the application was installed. If the user wishes, it will also be possible to deactivate the notifications: in this way you will no longer receive a report every time a new content is inserted, but it will still be possible to view all the information once you have accessed the Application and the channel of your interest.

Below is a brief guide to the activation of the service:

1. Start the installation of the Telegram application through the Play Store / Apple Store or directly from the website https://telegram.org/ ;

2. Proceed with the installation by entering your country and your telephone number (data that will not be communicated to the institution);

3. Complete the registration by entering your name and surname (data that will not be communicated to the institution);

4. Press on the search icon at the top right;

5. Type the name of the channel you want to subscribe to: "Municipality of Asiago - Events" and / or "Municipality of Asiago - Public Utility";

6. Press the "JOIN" button;

7. Press the "SILENCE" button if you do not want to receive notifications on your device at the time of each new publication;

8. Press the "REACTIVATE NOTIFICATIONS" button if, once deactivated, you want to receive notifications again on your device when publishing new content on the channel;

9. To leave the channel, log in to the same and, after pressing on the settings icon (three dots at the top right), select "Leave the channel".
