Approved the new plan of operations of the municipality of Asiago

Asiago confirms the attention to the environment focusing on the recovery of existing volumes, reducing land use and encouraging the permanent residence of its citizens

PRESS RELEASE of 8/1/2019 of the MUNICIPALITY of ASIAGO

The City Council of Asiago, during the Council of 21.12.2018, adopted the new plan adjustment of interventions to PAT facing essentially two issues:


-The first update of census of outbuildings no longer useful to the management of the Fund falling in farming area: it is made of old origin, created to meet the needs of a farm from the perspective production (barns, agricultural depots, stables) that over time, as a result of the interruption of cultivation and breeding, have remained unused and progressive condition of abandonment and decay.

-the recovery of outbuildings will allow, on the one hand, to rehabilitate agricultural contexts with buildings renovated or rebuilt with current techniques and more compatible with the needs, and to give a chance for families to residents to make the first habitation for family members; recovery legislation provides that in case of realization of more housing units, at least 50% must be allocated to permanent residence.

-The second concerns theidentification of new batches for first home to meet residents who need permanent home: these lots must meet defined criteria such as, first and foremost, relapse in the context of urbanization in building consolidated PAT or spread in order to establish the existing building fabric saturation without going to affect open territory.


"Se are satisfied for the important decision taken by our municipality, the result of a complex work of the past three years -says the Mayor of Asiago and Alderman all'urbanistica, Roberto Rigoni Stern- an act that goes in the direction of preserve the environment after decades of indiscriminate construction in prestigious areas solely for speculative purposes. The plan of operations will allow 60 families of residents to turn abandoned buildings, such as barns, stables, warehouses, agricultural buildings for housing needs them and their children. In this context, the Administration has supported shrewd entrepreneurs who want to invest in our territory by creating new hotels in the next few years will provide new job opportunities for our young people. In essence, more hotels, fewer condominiums. More homes for residents, less holiday apartments because there are too many of them and many of these require substantial renovations. Therein lies the strength of this plan of operations, develop the conditions so that our residents can continue to live in Asiago without being forced, because of price developments in the housing market, to buy their first home in other municipalities where the buildings are sold at lower prices. All this will certainly give impetus to the economy through the involvement of small businesses in the territory that will be involved in the restoration of these agricultural artifacts that today, after many years of neglect, are finally returned to their owners with a new purpose. to become primary residence ".

Land use

"It is clear that the municipality of Asiago was precursor of the policies that now the region is obliged to implement in accordance with the provisions of the European Union. In spite of the difficulties to share the strategies of PAT with the heads of regional offices (remember that PAT was written in copianificazione with the Veneto region) some of which at the time had slipped away and made to replace as contact persons for our plan, but in the end the PAT was approved and then "apparently" at the time. Now, the new law confirms the correctness of the choices. Maybe these new volumes are not land use or soil consumption is expressed differently depending on the norm from which the chance building plots!"
