Asiago, focus on construction sites

After the health emergency due to the Covid-19 and archived the rains of the last days, public works continue in the historic center of Asiago.

First of all, it is noted that the planned interventions in Matteotti Avenue have been completed where the rainwater pipes have been completely redone because they are damaged and no longer functioning, manholes have been added to promote the drainage of the water and the sewer connections have been fixed; Fiber optic wiring and pavement refurbishment from the side leading to the Lux cinema have also been upgraded.

"Wehad to close Matteotti avenue to road traffic for four days, from Monday 8 to Thursday 11 June ," explains Franco Sella, Councillor for Public Works of the Municipality of Asiago. We were in a good way to reopen the road a day earlier, but the rain has lengthened the time. I am aware of the discomfort experienced by the citizens during these four days of closure, but such action was needed to work safely and to complete the intervention quickly.'

From 15 June,the spotlight will also be on the flowerbed of the Pesa square that will be placed; At the beginning of Via Monsignore Bortoli will also be created arest area for students of the nearby middle schools.

"The roadway of Via Giuseppe Verdi has been reopened," closes Franco Sella. The company has finished the safety phase of the roof of the building hit by the fire last March. I ask citizens to bring some more patience, we are working to make Asiago not only more beautiful and safe,but also accessible to people with disabilities. Unfortunately, the health emergency and the rains are delaying what was the initial timetable; however, the interventions are not postponed until next autumn so as not to run into the risk of unfavourable weather conditions that would blow everything up."
