PRESS RELEASE of MAYOR of ROTZO of 31/10 hours 23.00
These days we have been tested by a very difficult moment caused by an extraordinary phenomenon of bad weather and unfortunately seems not finished yet.
As Directors we invite all individuals and business owners to report any problems, especially related to security, to intervene as soon as possible, without underestimating possible danger.
We have the support of firefighters, civil protection and other agencies. We stress also the reporting of damage to determine if there may be some form of compensation, especially for agricultural and livestock activities.
We stayed in touch all the time, as far as possible, with Enel and other entities for the provision of core services, but because of the difficulty of communications we couldn't cater for the demands of citizens, especially with regard the lack of electricity.
Now if the worst is over we can't yet say, but surely we can do an initial assessment: If Fortunately our country was only grazed and the damage is very limited, our forests has suffered heavily. Was badly hit by gusts of wind and a first survey made with the helicopter we can speak of a give really large.
It is a difficult time for everyone and for us Admins especially, because we have to maintain strength and rationality in the face of a catastrophe on the legacy that our seniors have grown, guarded, kept alive for many years. Now the wind seems to have wiped out many trees and with them the efforts of many of our families.
I have a few words to add, I have a weight in which I don't know describe, I will work with my administration, together with colleagues in the consortium of civic uses to manage this emergency the best way possible.
We will give it all up there, 100 years ago, because many lives have fallen, fallen trees and now we tap the task to collect them.
